Manuscript commonplace book and diary; a collection of extracts from his own letters and journals, dating from 1770 to 1847, as well as summaries of family genealogies and chronologies, recollections of his childhood, descriptions of places where he lived, accounts of his travel in Germany, Switzerland, France, and Savoy, and reflections on his spiritual and intellectual development as an adult. Also includes a number of entries related to a Mr. J. Six, including a fairy tale told by him, his translations of poems, and his letters of friendship to Stanley discussing Latin translations and his studies at Trinity College, literature, and theater.
